We are looking for people who are eager to be a productive member of the Sanitation team and ensure excellent plant sanitation. Sanitors are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, office space, and other bakery locations. Incumbents will effectively perform all duties in Sanitation in an efficient and accurate manner, while following all company policies and procedures. All jobs will be performed safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Food Safety and Quality. Sanitors must be flexible to work all shifts, including weekends.


Essential Functions

  1. Prepare production equipment for cleaning by locking out machinery
  2. Operate cleaning equipment including but not limited to: floor scrubber, portable tank foamer, vacuum system and CIP system.
  3. Rinse, foam, scrub, and sanitize production equipment ensuring that all areas meet CraftMark Bakery standards of acceptability
  4. Responsible for hand cleaning production equipment; requiring some disassembling and reassembling
  5. Work with Maintenance to ensure the internal parts of equipment are cleaned
  6. Responsible to ensure that all processing equipment is cleaned to specification of all food safety guidelines as to not pose a potential food safety risk
  7. Maintain accurate sanitation documentation as needed and required as outlined by the Food Safety and Quality Systems including the Master Sanitation Schedule
  8. Work with chemicals and follow chemical usage labels for application and PPEs
  9. Keep work area and equipment neat and clean and properly stored
  10. Consistently follow the 7 Step Cleaning process
  11. Perform self-inspections of own work or visual clarner verification or team member's work



Education and Experience



High School Diploma or GED
Ability to communicate in English, written and verbal, for training and safety purposes
Basic math skills
Willing to work in cold and wet conditions


Basic sanitation experience

Mechanical apptitude

Basic knowledge of Hazardous Analaysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)


Position Requirements


Must be willing to work in cold and wet conditions

Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis

Must be able to work at heights that are above ground level, using a scissor lift or ladder

Must be dependable, flexible and able to work overtime, if necessary

This position requires regular weekend work
