    Main Purpose of Job

     

    Under general direction, this position provides direct support to operations and maintenance through the adequate stocking of spare parts. From vendor interfacing, procurement execution, and facilitation of the entire purchasing process, this role is key in the tactical and strategic day to day operation of our facility.

     

    This position reports to: Reliability Manager

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

     

    • Requisition parts and materials for scheduled work as well as stock inventory
    • Ensure and monitor job parts staging
    • Maintain parts Inventory levels
    • Purchase order generation
    • Paticipate in quarterly and annual inventory counts with high level of accuracy
    • Provide data entry into CMMS system
    • Maintain parts graphic attachment library
    • Validate work order parts data
    • Work with accounting for new supplier/vendor setup, account status
    • Builds good working relationships with vendors.
    • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the spare parts area.
    • Report and/or trend as needed:
    • Installation and project costs
    • Safety issues
    • Equipment history/costs
    • Inventory consumption
    • Miscellaneous maintenance costs
    • Inventory Max/Min Levels
    • Parts valuation
    • Communicates weekly dollars requisitioned for parts and supplies

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    • Associates degree and (2) or more years of inventory control experience preferred
    • Must know and follow standard safety practices
    • The ability to develop and complete a series of goals and tactics, and work with minimal supervision
    • Extensive working knowledge of Manufacturing ERP system
    • Excellent organizational, communication and critical thinking (written and oral) skills.
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, ERP and CMMS
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Must be willing to work flexible and variable schedules and shifts
    • Ability to deal with uncertainty
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Flexibility in responsibilities
    • Previous experience with lift truck and power pallet jack a plus!
