    Summary/Objective

     

    This position will serve as a Leader and Team Member of the maintenance function to ensure effective equipment operation. This position is committed to ensuring the best quality products and excellent customer service by maintaining good manufacturing practices, improving plant efficiencies, and maintaining compliance with federal/state/local regulations and standards of the industry.

    The Maintenance Supervisor is charged with managing a changing culture in a team-based environment. This position will also serve in a leadership role for all team members (maintenance, process and food safety) as the facility matures.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

     

    Primary activities include but not limited to:

    1. Supports without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes & are priority #1.
    2. Supervise the activities of team members to ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
    3. Supervise effective recovery of equipment failure within area through management of maintenance resources and effective communication with Production and Maintenance
    4. Give timely feedback, coaching and mentoring to team members to help maintain or improve expected performance

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    1. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
    2. 
Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with all levels of 
operations Leadership.

    3. Strong knowledge of IPM, project management skills, knowledge of Bakery Equipment 
operations and Bakery Science. 

    4. Must also have the ability to provide hands on leadership and contribute directly to the overall 
success of the bakery. 

    5. 3 years experience in a maintenance leadership position is required.
